For emerging artists interested in working within the studio environment and assisting with the residency program.
The Artist Internship is designed for emerging artists who are interested in working closely within the studio environment of Tomer Peretz, founder of The 8 Project.
The internship focuses on artistic practice and offers participants the opportunity to observe, learn from, and assist with the creative work taking place within the residency program.
Interns spend time in the studio supporting the artistic process while gaining insight into the intersection of art, trauma-informed practice, and socially engaged creative work.
Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting with studio work and artistic production
• Supporting residency activities and workshops
• Assisting with exhibition preparation
• Participating in the day-to-day flow of the studio and resid

The 8 Project welcomes volunteers who wish to support our work and contribute to the creative community surrounding the residency.
Our volunteer community includes artists, therapists, mentors, and individuals who wish to offer their time and skills in support of the mission of The 8 Project.
Volunteering with The 8 Project offers an opportunity to become part of a mission-driven creative community that uses art as a tool for healing and connection.
Volunteers may assist with a variety of activities connected to the organization, including:
• Studio support and preparation
• Event and exhibition assistance
• Workshop and community program support
• Photography, video, and program documentation
• Social media and storytelling
• Administrative and organizational support
• Therapists who wish to support the therapeutic environment of the residency
• Artist mentors who wish to share their experience with residency participants
