REHABILITATION RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Rehabilitation Residency Program for Soldiers and War Survivors Coping with PTSD.
Why we exist
The 8 Project Residency is an intensive rehabilitation program for IDF soldiers and trauma survivors coping with PTSD and trauma-related challenges.
Created by individuals with lived experience alongside therapists, psychiatrists, and rehabilitation professionals, the program bridges the gap between treatment and long-term recovery.
Through structure, therapeutic support, mentorship, community, and creative practice, participants rebuild confidence, purpose, connection, and identity.
Because recovery is not just about reducing symptoms.
It’s about rebuilding life.
Thousands of soldiers are returning from combat with invisible wounds. Traditional rehabilitation focuses on clinical treatment, but recovery requires more than therapy.
Treatment is essential. But treatment alone is often not enough.
Many veterans leave clinical care still struggling to rebuild routine, maintain healthy relationships, reconnect with family and community, pursue careers, and find a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
The challenge is no longer identifying trauma. The challenge is rebuilding life after it.
Art is not decoration. It is a language for what cannot be spoken. A tool for processing trauma and rebuilding identity.
This is not a temporary program. It is the foundation for a new model of post-trauma recovery, rooted in creativity, community, and purpose.
