ARTIST. FOUNDER OF THE 8 PROJECT. FORMER IDF GROUND FORCES OFFICER & ZAKA VOLUNTEER.
Tomer Peretz, a world-renowned Israeli-American artist, former IDF ground forces officer, ZAKA volunteer, and founder of The 8 Project, is the visionary force behind this initiative. THE 8 PROJECT WORKSHOPS NY & LA | FALL 2025
EMPOWERING JEWISH COMMUNITIES THROUGH ART, HEALING, AND STORY TELLING.
The 8 Project is a healing-through-art initiative, founded by artist
Tomer Peretz, who transforms trauma into creative expression.
Through residencies, workshops, exhibitions, and community programs,
it helps survivors, soldiers, and artists turn pain into purpose.
Workshops' Goal
Empowering Jewish-American communities and our allies to create, heal, and reconnect to themselves, each other, and those they've been standing behind for over two years. Students, activists, families, and artists turn hate into cathartic healing and isolation into community. The workshops will be led by survivors, soldiers, and artists who now
serve as mentors.
WHO ARE THESE WORKSHOPS FOR?
- Jewish schools
- Synagogues
- Community centers & organizations
- Families & youth groups
- Open ticketed events for the public TBA
