About this experience

Led by artist Tomer Peretz, this one-of-a-kind workshop transforms military uniforms into bold, customized art pieces. Participants use calligraphy and different painting techniques, along with guided creative prompts, to reimagine the uniform as a meaningful personal canvas.

Working on a military uniform carries powerful symbolism. It reflects courage, identity, and the collective story of Israel. As participants create, they are invited to explore their own relationship to Israel, its history, its resilience, and the deep sense of belonging it inspires.

Through expressive design, each uniform becomes more than fabric. It becomes a bridge between personal narrative and national pride, allowing participants to wear their connection to Israel with intention and strength.

Each person leaves with a unique wearable artwork and a deeper, more rooted sense of identity and purpose.

A creative experience unlike anything else.

A statement you can wear.

An award-winning Israeli-American artist, born in Jerusalem and based in Los Angeles. Known for his powerful blend of figurative, realism, and conceptual work. HIS ART explores human emotion, identity, memory, and the space between personal and collective trauma. His style merges realism with intentional erasure, uncovering what lies beneath the surface.

A combat veteran of the Israeli military, Tomer has used art as a tool for healing since a young age. After moving to L.A., he built a successful international career, exhibiting across the U.S., Europe, and Israel.

In October 2023, while visiting family in Israel, Tomer volunteered with ZAKA in the aftermath of the Hamas terrorist attacks. This experience became a profound artistic and personal turning point, leading him to found The 8 Project.

In 2025, he was named the inaugural Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Tolerance, where he unveiled ART WILL S8T YOU FREE, a groundbreaking exhibition co-created with over 850 trauma survivors. The installation stands as a public act of healing, remembrance, and resistance against antisemitism and hate.

Through his work, Tomer continues to transform pain into connection, using art to build bridges that transcend language, culture, and borders.
