This painting was created by Tomer and a group of reserve soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade. During the process, one soldier experienced his first PTSD trigger, and Tomer immediately recognized the signs. He spent an hour with the soldier, providing support during a very difficult mental moment, while the rest of the team continued painting under Tomer’s direction. Since then, Tomer has stayed in contact with the soldier, who is now feeling much better.
The piece symbolizes both the intensity of their fight in Gaza and the healing journey that followed. It encapsulates the soldiers’ stories and experiences, capturing the duality of war and recovery.
