Join internationally exhibited artist Alejandro Glatt for a collaborative collage workshop at The 8 Project Gallery.
Inspired by the iconic New York City subway map, participants will create a large-scale mixed-media artwork using paint, magazines, newspapers, gold leaf, and found materials. Once completed, the piece will be divided into four framed panels and exhibited as a single installation during the Rewrite the Map pop-up exhibition. Every participant will be credited as a contributing artist.
Continue the experience at the exhibition's Opening Reception during The 8 Project Community Shabbat Dinner on Friday, August 14, featuring an artist talk, gallery tour, Kabbalat Shabbat, and a traditional community dinner. Guests may also purchase a Workshop + Shabbat Dinner Bundle at a special combined price.
The Rewrite the Map pop-up exhibition will be open to the public August 15–17, featuring Alejandro Glatt's Subway Map Series, original works, limited edition prints, and the collaborative artwork created during the workshop.
Proceeds support The 8 Project's Rehabilitation Residency Program, helping Israeli soldiers and survivors of trauma rebuild their lives through art.
