12"x20" on Fine Art Paper
This self-portrait triptych was created by Dmitry Pomazan and reflects a specific period in the artist’s life, shaped by depression and loss following his military service. The work moves between photographic documentation and painting, holding space for vulnerability, fragmentation, and inner reflection.
This work is sold as a single artwork (one edition), composed of three photographs.
Dmitry Pomazan is a photographer based in Israel and a former resident of The 8 Project. After serving in the military reserves for nearly a year, his practice - originally focused on food photography - shifted fundamentally following October 7, evolving into an exploration of war, memory, and human fragility. Shaped through the residency and personal mentorship with Tomer Peretz, he now creates photographic and mixed-media works that navigate the thin line between beauty and devastation.
