12"x20" on Fine Art Paper
This photographic triptych by Dmitry Pomazan captures the quiet tension and emotional isolation of war. Moving from landscape to presence and back to absence, the images reflect the stillness that surrounds moments of danger — where threat is implied rather than visible. This work is sold as a single artwork (one edition), composed of three photographs.
The work speaks to the loneliness of being inside a conflict zone, where the environment itself carries weight, and silence becomes charged with uncertainty.
Dmitry Pomazan is a photographer based in Israel and a former resident of The 8 Project. After serving in the military reserves for nearly a year, his practice - originally focused on food photography - shifted fundamentally following October 7, evolving into an exploration of war, memory, and human fragility. Shaped through the residency and personal mentorship with Tomer Peretz, he now creates photographic and mixed-media works that navigate the thin line between beauty and devastation.
